Medical Institute (HHMI) -- Since 1988, HHMI has provided grants totaling more than
$617 million for students from preschools through graduate school, teachers, and

School Chemistry -- The American Chemistry Societys Education Division supports
high school chemistry teachers and students through curriculum projects, classroom
resource materials, teacher training, and mini-grants. Staff members also provide support

Interactive Frog Dissection -- The
Interactive Frog Dissection was designed for use in high school biology classrooms.
Research with pre-WWW versions of this program suggests that it is a valuable preparation
tool or even a useful substitute for laboratory dissection.
International Museum of Surgical Science -- This
online museum portrays many of the personalities, failures and breakthroughs that have
shaped modern surgery, and includes collection of over 7000 surgery related objects, rare
manuscripts and works of art.
Iowa State
University, Biotech Center -- A biotechnology public education program providing
teaching tips for teachers, archived Iowa Biotech Educator newsletters and the Biotechnology
Information Series -- a set of publications being developed by ISU Extension and the
Office of Biotechnology providing easy-to-read information about biotechnology products
and techniques for the non-scientist.
iWASwondering
-- iWASwondering is a project of the National Academy of Sciences intended to showcase
the accomplishments of contemporary women in science and to highlight for young people
the varied and intriguing careers of some of today's most prominent scientists. The site
draws from and accompanies the publication of a ten-volume series of biographies entitled

WISE: Web-based Inquiry Science Environment
