Director, Marketing – TUKYSA U.S. Brand Lead

Description

Position Summary:

The Director of US Marketing for TUKYSA will provide strategic brand leadership and ensure successful execution for the future new indication launches for TUKYSA. Working closely with the US Sales Team and Global Marketing team, the TUKYSA Brand Lead will be responsible for development of a US marketing strategy and all phases of tactical implementation of that strategy. This role works closely with Market Research, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Sales Leadership and other key stakeholders. This position requires excellent communication skills, effective marketing leadership and a proven ability to influence across the organization.

The Director of US Marketing for Tucatinib will report to the VP Franchise Head, and is expected to be an exceptional marketing leader with proven oncology experience.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for results of the US Marketing Team, including driving toward attainment of sales goal
  • Develop, prioritize and implement promotional and disease education tactics that establish the value of TUKYSA with HCPs
  • Lead development of the annual brand plan and ensure measurable, meaningful KPIs are in place and accurately tracked
  • Manage the agency of record for all promotional and non-promotional tactics
  • Provide leadership to brand team members, including coaching, motivating, and professional development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop overall Commercial plan and ensure alignment across functions on brand strategy
  • Represent commercial on the Label Working Group team
  • Establish and maintain a strong relationship with the Sales team to ensure effective execution of promotional tactics and accurate representation of key brand messages
  • Develop and deliver impactful brand presentations for all levels of management and leadership, as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Travel as business needs require for meetings, market research and conferences

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience in oncology
  • 3+ years of marketed brand responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategically, drive performance, and act collaboratively
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage at the strategic and tactical levels
  • Experience managing advertising agencies
  • Effective vendor management
  • Proven team player, particularly with other functions
  • Proven ability to thrive in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills across a variety of organization levels and disciplines, including senior executives
  • Exceptional leadership and people management competencies, including strategic thinking, building and optimizing teams, recruiting, developing, coaching and mentoring colleagues and direct reports
  • Excellence in additional professional competencies including collaborative and cross functional problem solving and communications, innovative thinking, sense of urgency, and a passion for the science of oncology and for helping patients with cancer
  • Pharmaceutical/biotech sales leadership and/or sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the Breast & Colorectal Cancer Marketplaces strongly preferred
  • Product launch experience in a competitive oncology market preferred

Education:

  • BA or BS degree in relevant field required; MBA preferred
