Associate Director Bioanalytical Development

Translational Sciences - Bothell, Washington

Description

Summary

The Translational Sciences Bioanalytical department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to oversee large molecule bioanalytical method development, validation, and GLP sample testing to support IND enabling non-clinical and clinical studies. The ideal candidate will have experience in immunoassay method development, validations, and understanding of regulatory guidance. The ideal candidate will be able to evaluate bioanalytical data, manage timelines and priorities across multiple programs, and have strong communication and leadership skills.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Oversee development and validation of bioanalytical assays to support quantitation and characterization of lead research molecules
  • Design and develop ligand binding assays and use novel bioanalytical platforms and methods to measure and characterize therapeutic drugs
  • Mentor or lead a small group of GLP scientists in assay development
  • Supervise CROs in the development of new assays as well as monitor activities during development
  • Perform periodic reviews of data and reports included in regulatory filings
  • Represent team in highly collaborative groups across research, translational sciences, and clinical development

Qualifications:

  • Industry experience with GLP immunoassays, PhD or BS with 10 years experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in small groups and for large audiences
  • Experience with multiple assay formats
