Summary
The principal objective of the Sr. Manager, Commercial Demand is to lead ongoing improvements to Seagen’s overall supply chain operation, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of supply to support patient demand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem solving and process improvement, a track record for utilizing data to drive decisions, and exceptional cross organization collaboration skills. This is a high-visibility role that will interact with all levels of the organization to relentlessly drive improvement to customer demand forecasts through improved planning and execution. This role will partner closely with Commercial, Global Planning, Finance, Analytics and Manufacturing Operations, and be the key leader of monthly demand reviews.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Work with upstream partners to gather forecasts and context about changes to the demand plan, and conduct risk analysis based on Supply Chain's ability to support.
- Monitor, translate, and communicate the impacts of these changes with Supply Chain team partners.
- Develop demand planning strategies on existing products from internal demand sources as well as partner and strategic alliance sources.
- Establish performance metrics, drive best practices, and lead process and tool improvements that are aligned with the strategic priorities of the team.
- Develop standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
- Provide recommendations for operational improvements and identify metrics/KPIs to measure impact.
- Prepare demand planning input for budget and S&OP for Supply Chain, Business and Financial teams.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles for business/finance analyst interactions.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of work experience in supply operations, production and supply planning, and inventory management
- Exhibits creativity in adapting to changing situations, development of contingency plans and comfortable with making decisions
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal communication, project management, collaboration, and analytical skills
- Independently determines and develops approach to solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in FDA or multi-plant environment preferred
- Preferred experience working with an integrated enterprise level planning system
- Minimal travel (< 5%)
- BS/BA Degree in a business or life science field preferred
- APICS or Six Sigma Certification with an understanding of Lean Manufacturing processes
