Summary
The Translational Sciences department is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented and creative scientist to join the Nonregulated LBA & CBA Bioanalysis team. This individual would contribute to a team that develops and troubleshoots assays designed to support the advancement of antibody-drug conjugates (ADC) and the immuno-oncology biotherapeutics from preclinical into clinical development. The successful candidate will have experience in bioanalytical assay development and techniques used to characterize the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of antibody-based drugs. This candidate may also be responsible for development of select biomarkers or cell-based assays such as neutralizing antibody assays used to assess immunogenicity. The successful candidate must also have strong leadership, organizational and communication skills to move projects forward and meet timelines.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop robust ligand binding, cell-based, and other novel bioanalytical methods for the measurement and characterization of therapeutic drugs or biomarkers in various biological matrices
- Screening and identification of matched antibody pairs for assay development
- Investigation of key project related questions
- Work with colleagues to transfer developed assays to a testing or GLP development group
- Exploration of new technologies
- Troubleshooting analytical or technical issues with outsourced assays
- Train junior scientists
- Independently analyze, summarize, and present data in group and project team meetings
Required Qualifications:
- PhD degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline with a minimum 8 years (+BS) or 4 years (+MS) of relevant research/industry experience
- Experience with standard immunoassays in multiple assay platforms
- Experience with bioanalytical principles and techniques
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- Ability to participate in a collaborative work environment and communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Strong organization and multitasking skills
- Experienced with analytical and Microsoft programs (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Unifi, SoftMax Pro, etc.)
- Good working knowledge of GLP regulations and guidance documents
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with LIMS systems is a plus
- Cell culture experience and some experience with developing cell-based assays is a plus
- Flow cytometry experience is also a plus
