Summary

The Translational Sciences department is seeking a highly motivated and creative principal scientist/AD to be a leader of a non-GLP bioanalytical team. This work will support the advancement of multiple antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) and immuno-oncology biotherapeutics from late-stage research into clinical development. The successful candidate will have experience in standard and exploratory bioanalytical techniques that can be used to characterize the pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, biodistribution, and/or stability of antibody-based drugs. This position also encompasses oversee of reagent identification through hybridoma campaigns and soluble antigen analysis. Position title will be commensurate with experience.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a group that Designs and develop ligand binding assays, immunopurification techniques, and novel bioanalytical methods used to measure and characterize therapeutic drugs or novel drug-linker platforms in various biological matrices.
  • Lead a team responsible for research phase bioanalysis, and assay development.
  • Serve as a representative of bioanalysis on program teams.
  • Oversees the creation of critical reagents and their handoff to the GLP group.
  • Analyze, summarize, and present data in group meetings and contribute to discussions and strategy in bioanalysis.
  • Troubleshoot or analyze key questions pertinent to new programs

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Biological Sciences or related discipline with a minimum 4 years experience. Alternatively, 5 year (+MS) of relevant research/industry experience
  • Experience with standard immunoassays and analysis of analytes in tissues
  • Experience with bioanalytical principles and techniques
  • Understanding of regulations surrounding bioanalysis
  • Ability to direct a large group doing development and analysis
  • Ability to identify and address key issues surrounding programs as they encounter new problems/complications
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment and communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills, computer and analytical programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Unifi, SoftMax Pro), and familiarity with database management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with assay development in other formats such as hTRF, ECL or Delphia as well as FACS analysis
  • Experience with hybridoma generation
  • Experience in protein characterization
  • List the education and certifications preferred
