Position Summary

Seagen is currently launching its first product in Europe in the therapeutic area of HER2+ metastatic breast cancer.

The Senior Oncology Account Manager (SOAM) is a field-based expert, that strategically drives the commercial objectives of Seagen’s Breast Cancer program for Germany.

The SOAM will be primarily accountable for developing and implementing key account plans in their designated territory to optimize care for patients.

The SOAM is expected to develop territory specific strategic account plans in the context of the overall product strategy and in close alignment and collaboration with functions of Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Patient Advocacy, Market Access and Commercial, while ensuring full compliance with all relevant company, industry, legal, regulatory and ethical standards.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Presents a positive image of the company and develop awareness about treatments to relevant customer groups.
  • Understands and map the local and regional clinical and funding decision processes and develop relevant centers for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Develops, own and drives territory and account plan, including customer targeting, in line with country strategy in partnership with the Country.
  • Commercial Lead and Medical Affairs team to ensure that all appropriate patients have access to the treatment.
  • Develop relationships within budget-holding and decision-making organisations in the local health care system in order to effectively inform account business plans.
  • Drives patient group identification, diagnosis and referral rates by executing against a territory strategy and account specific plans.
  • Achieves pre-launch and post-launch KPIs, including sales and volume targets.
  • Serves as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams in addition to providing feedback on marketing strategy and effectiveness reviews of sales activities and territory analysis.
  • Understands the healthcare environment and market dynamics, trends, competitors, and regulations.
  • Follows all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of all activities.
  • Completes business plans, expense reports and all required administrative reports on time and as requested.
  • Timely and accurate reporting and continuous diligent maintenance of the CRM database.
  • Actively participates in sales meetings and training programs and represents Seattle Genetics at local and national events and congresses.
  • Conducts all activities to highest ethical standards in accordance with country code of practice and local Laws and regulations.
  • Significant travel, including domestic and international travel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent are preferrable
  • 5+ years successful pharmaceutical sales experience including > 2 years of Oncology
  • Oncology therapeutic area knowledge /experience required
  • Breast Cancer & Oral Oncolytic experience strongly preferred
  • Good knowledge of the national health care system
  • Proven track record of successful sales results and ability to meet or exceed objectives
  • Business travel, by car, rail or air, is regularly required
  • Must live within the assigned territory (Sachsen, Thüringen, Sachsenanhalt)
  • Fluent in German and English thorough understanding of local compliance, as well as a sound ethical approach to business
