Summary:

This role will serve the Finance organization as a key member of the Oracle Cloud (Fusion) implementation team. This position will lead the activities of multiple finance process leads, ensuring program timelines are met and a quality product is delivered. This role will have oversight of the following areas, processes, and modules: General Ledger, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Project Accounting, Tax Reporting, Reporting and Analytics and others. This role will require regular communication with stakeholders, including senior Finance management, and will be responsible for assessing and mitigating risks and concerns through close collaboration with project team members and the wider Finance team. The ideal candidate will be able to apply general accounting and financial reporting knowledge and experience to ensure a successful implementation and should enjoy taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. Oracle EBS and/or Cloud/Fusion implementation experience is required.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead the activities of multiple Finance business leads and subject matter experts (SMEs) for the duration (multi-year) of the Oracle Cloud/Fusion implementation
  • Directly manage multiple finance process leads
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify, analyze, and quantify risks, and recommend proactive response strategies
  • Support implementation and process changes in partnership with finance team members, system implementation partners, and information technology team
  • Evaluate and prioritize business requirements to provide comprehensive and value driving solutions
  • Facilitate resolution of issues that arise during design, development, and testing cycles Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve such issues, and provide timely responses and solutions as required
  • Support and coordinate business process development as we work to automate manual processes
  • Support finance and IT leadership in the development of the finance systems strategy and roadmap; identify future needs, enhancements, and upgrades to finance applications
  • Educate stakeholders on automation capabilities and future opportunities
  • Promote a sense of enthusiasm among team members and create a climate where people are encouraged to do their best to help Seagen achieve its objectives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of fifteen years of experience in accounting or finance role with significant emphasis on systems implementation/support related programs or projects
  • Deep experience and knowledge of Oracle Financials (R12 and/or Cloud/Fusion)
  • Exposure to Concur, SAP and data warehouse tools
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the following modules/processes: General Ledger, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Cash Management/Integrated Banking, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets
  • Strong tactical and executional skills and project/program management experience
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to comfortably operate in an environment with multiple stakeholders at many levels
  • Ability to drive decisions, deliver results and meet deadlines while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to evaluate potential solutions from multiple perspectives

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business or Technical area

The hiring pay range for this position is $188,000 to $243,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
