Summary:
Seagen’s new cGMP manufacturing facility “project Launchpad” is being built in Everett, Washington, just North of Seattle. Launchpad will be a greenfield build encompassing end-to-end manufacturing capabilities for biologics and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
Manager, Technology Transfer leverages scientific expertise to lead and manage multiple tech transfer activities for internal manufacturing of antibody intermediate, drug substance, and drug product. They collaborate with stakeholders to plan, implement, and monitor tech transfer activities to ensure critical project timelines and milestones are met. They coordinate efforts across functional areas and ensure efficient communication to deliver timely identification and resolution of risks. They may author or review change controls and technical documents in support of tech transfer.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tech transfer plans in collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization
- Lead and manage tech transfers of antibody intermediate, drug substance, and drug product from development to commercial manufacturing at internal manufacturing sites
- Partners with stakeholders to ensure efficient transfer of product knowledge and manufacturing processes
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver successful, complex tech transfers
- May oversee specialists to deliver tech transfer activities or initiatives
- Identify and manage potential project risks or delays, and provide regular updates to senior management
- Identify and develop standardized tools and procedures to establish best practices for tech transfer project management
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. and 7+ years, M.S., and 5+ years, or Ph.D. and 2+ years
- Background or degree in relevant field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with cell culture, purification, conjugation and/or fill-finish operations
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy are essential
- Experience in GMP biologics manufacturing preferred
- 0 - 2 years project management experience preferred
- PMP certification or relevant coursework preferred

The hiring pay range for this position is $123,000 to $160,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
