Supervisor, Innovation Engineering & Technology Services

Overview

What you will do: Provide supervision and training of the engineering team responsible for product/device development initiatives enterprise wide involving the complex coordination of multiple stakeholders, resources, programs, and outside variables in support of the organizational priorities. Primary duties include providing day-to-day supervision of the team functions and workload. Responsible for the development and implementation of standardized processes to ensure optimal efficiency and service delivery to clients of engineering and technology products. In addition, ensure projects are in alignment with the Program(s) strategic objectives and goals. Provide overall leadership, support, staff management and customer service aligned with the organization’s overall values and mission/vision.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Business, Public Health, or biological sciences, or an interdisciplinary area with knowledge of medical technologies, OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Coursework in business, marketing and/or law.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in scientific research, corporate R&D, product or business development, technology transfer, or intellectual property law.
  • Experience supervising and/or leading staff in a work unit.

Required Credentials:

  • N/A

Preferred:

  • Commercialization experience in an academic or corporate environment.
  • Strong project management abilities, and desire to move opportunities forward by creating a strategy and bringing together the resources to effectively implement projects.
  • Strong advocacy skills for promising technologies.
  • Good business sense.
  • Skilled in effectively setting priorities and obtaining closure.
