The Vision of Technology & Research Collaborations is to be nationally respected as the model
for managing University/Industry Collaborations. This is achieved by: facilitating the transfer
of new knowledge and technology to the commercial sector for the ultimate benefit of the
public; protecting and managing the intellectual property assets of OHSU while preserving
academic freedom and opportunity; and generating income and resources for OHSU through a broad
spectrum of University/Industry relationships.
Bioscience Innovation Fund:
The OHSU Bioscience Innovation Fund helps bridge the gap between discovery and initial
commercial seed funding for promising early stage OHSU technologies. Through this fund, the
University invests a limited amount of money in order to achieve a specific set of milestones
needed to help achieve an initial commercial investment. This commercial investment may come
from a licensee, angel investor, or early stage venture capital fund. The Fund is provided by
the OHSU Foundation and the application process is managed through the Technology and
Research Collaborations office.
